via - Jankee The wedding season keeps getting bigger and better. Performed last night at the GOLDEN JUBILEE wedding anniversary of the respected couple, Padam Chand ji and Basanti Devi ji in Jaipur with Deejay Paps. About 1500 people were invited for this massive wedding Sangeet which had been preceded by a Mehendi function the previous night. The adorable couple, affectionately called Daada-Daadi renewed their wedding vows in the presence of their over enthusiastic extended family (sons, daughters-in-law, grandkids, etc.), who made sure that shaadi mein koi kami na ho (nothing is lacking at the wedding). As the Brides name was Basanti Devi, the Groom, Mr. Padam came on stage when I was singing Piya Tu Ab Toh Aaja, took my mike and crooned his own version of the famous line, Monica, oh my darling... as Basanti, oh my darling , and this brand new Basantified version made a regular appearance through all my songs ... The man looked smitten even after 50 years of marriage and didnt hesitate one bit in expressing his adoration for his wife, every opportunity he got. Guess its these feelings that make weddings stand the test of time. It was fabulous. All in all, the pink city of Jaipur gave me another memorable evening to remember, one that made me go pink with the joy and excitement of it all! Thank you Rajesh Mathur & Rohan Mathur :)
