via Capitol Calligraphers in Salem... I recently received a phone call from Sally Wong in Portland letting me know that Allen Wong, our friend and GQG founder, had unexpectedly passed away. He died sometime during the night Tuesday, July 1 (as close as I can tell). He was not unwell, but was due for some minor surgery to repair a leak in a stent. At the time Sally called, she was still unclear of what had been written on the death certificate as far as cause. Since it was so sudden and unexpected you can imagine that she is in shock. A Celebration of Life will be held in Portland this Saturday, July 12, at 2:00pm at Willamette View Assisted Living in the Terrace Auditorium. If you have contacts for others (VCG?) who might like this information, please send it on. I do know that Bob Smith and Jane Huyer(sp?) already know.
