via DJ Wise: We are currently within the 21st century, however the climate of America’s mentality is in a time warp mirroring the racially charged times of the Reconstruction Era – Civil Rights Era. In 2008, many naively many thought that with the inauguration of Barack Obama as our 44th President of the United States of America that America was being ushered into a new era dubbed as the “Post-Racial Society.” Post-racial America is a theoretical environment where the United States is devoid of racial preference, discrimination, and prejudice. The media has framed the idea that Obama being a bi-racial product of an African father and Caucasian mother, he would be the transformative figure that would help unify America – quite the contrary!
