via David Seargeant on comet C/2013 V5 (Oukaimeden) on September 21 I managed to observe this comet at low elevation this evening (Sept. 21.39) and estimated it at m = 6.7 (B method) with a nice 20 tail in PA 165 degrees as seen using a 25x100 binocular telescope. Through a Swan Band filter, the coma seemed somewhat enhanced and appeared more sharply condensed. Evidently, the comet is still evolving gas and must therefore still possess an active nucleus.
