via Nami Kim 14 t · Muokattu · Update Some questions always arise when it comes to shutting down the illegal dog farms I posted. Currently, it is not legal, neither illegal, it is just hanging there. One of the five dog farms I filed a civil complaints, acquird a livestock license (when dogs are not yet classified under livestock) and there is nothing I can do further. quote; Dogs in Korea are, by legal definition, “domestic animals” under the Livestock Act 1963, but they are not included in the Livestock Processing Act 1962. This law has been at the centre of policy discussion in relation to the legalisation of dog meat in Korea, as this law governs livestock processing as a whole The only law that is applicable now to the dog farms are environmental law under the livestock management, without the proper sewerage facility I went to work with environment activist group to see if that work. Once the livestock license is issued to dog farmers, they are qualified raising meat dogs. This is what is happening. If you want to help, just click and sign all the petitions on my page, or look for the nearest Korean embassy and call/write. This will enable us put some pressure on the law makers in the assembly/government to reinforce the law. This site has all the details if you want to know more. koreandogs.org/info/
