via SunBôw TrueBrother: A glimpse at the site of the World Rainbow gathering 2013 The Family in the Kootenays, British Colombia, scouted several sites for the World Rainbow gathering 2013. The last scouting party included five of us to explore the area around the Meadow Creek Flats, along the Duncan-Lardeau river, between Duncan and Kootenay Lakes. We found the site was suited to host the World Rainbow gathering. We went to Aldergrove were about 20 of us circled and counciled for two days, to finally reach a consensus for the gathering to be held in Meadow Creek. Family from Germany, Slovenia, the Philippines, California, Québec and BC were present. The five feathers from different eagles tied to the Native totem staff went around the circle several times, so everyone could express freely and fully their proposals, questions, concerns and comments. The last time the talking stick went around the circle in silence, to signify that we all agreed on the consensus to gather in Meadow Creek in August. Seed-camp is starting on July 26th.
