vimeo/104419718 Santuario Gaia: Today, 27th August, marks the first anniversary since we saved Samuel from the slaughterhouse. His first birthday was on 21st August, but in Gaia Sanctuary we celebrate the day when his true life really started, the day when he stopped being considered a slave to become an equal. During the past year, we have lived very touching moments with him, but there have been hard times too, for instance when he almost passed away during the surgery to treat a hernia, or when one of his horns got unsheathed. How many scares weve gone through with this youngster! Weve never forgotten his twin brother during the past year. We were not allowed to save him too and eventually he was sent to the slaughterhouse. That was the same fate than Samuel, and all male calves born within the dairy industry, had. CONGRATULATIONS SAMUEL!!!
