Today I received word today that a Baptist pastor I know in Liberia has died of the Ebola virus. In addition to efforts of Dr. Richard Wilson, interim President of the Baptist Seminary to feed the hungry, Dr. David George, President of the WMU Foundation in Birmingham has gotten involved. He is trying to fill a forty foot container with rice and beans but it currently stands empty. The Bricks for Ricks Foundation has already sent $1000 to help with hunger.
