waited in a table with about 8 people tonight.. they were celebrating the oldest guy at the tables birthday (who I assume was in his upper 90s). when they finished their meal, I asked them how they were going to split the ticket, he said that he was paying for him and this older lady sitting at the same table.. everyone else gave me their tickets, but he was struggling to figure out the amount and took awhile to get the money out of his wallet.. as I waited for him, I thought to myself Its his birthday, why dont you do something nice for him. next thing I know, I said to him, Sir, dont worry about it. Im gonna pay for you tonight. Happy birthday. I dont think Ive ever seen a bigger smile on someones face as he repeatedly told me thank you.. so my challenge for you the rest of this week, is to do something nice for someone else. it would definitely make their day, and will probably brighten yours as well :) #thankful
