watching Raiders of the Lost Ark again reminds me of seeing it for the first time in the Columbia Theatre back in 1981. What I remember most is the parts that were in that copy which were later cut out and not in the version we see today. Like Indy lashing himself to the periscope of the submarine with his whip after it dived and of losing his Fedora at sea and watching it drift off out into the waves. Of course with the subsequent movies...he had to keep his hat. I wonder whatever became of that copy of the film?
