we had an earthquake last night in Marraksh. Tremors it be. about 10, just before the muaddin called the lasha prayer. I was sitting in, reading my last book, that I have to read, and I felt the building sway....quite dramatically, I must say. It was as if....I was on the big ferry to Algeciras, when the engines start and the ferry is going vrooooooom vrooooooom. With out the noise, and oddly, the silence was very noticeable. all the birds quietened, and the silence, was permeable. Then it stopped, just a few seconds. If it had been bigger, or more forceful, damage may have been incurred. The traffic on the road in front, carried on, unaware, my friend Hicham, did not notice it either, and he on the terrace of a house. I go today to Madrid, I do hope this earthquake will not follow me, as the city of Madrid is too beautiful, to be damaged !! Mike.
