we have laws that were hard fought to obtain against the barbarity of human cruelty to both animals and humans,people are capable of terrible cruelty both to animals and humans,our efforts to curb this inate bloodlust is called rule of law,morality or the advancement of thought and civilisation,we have a long way to go ,BUT when we have laws against cruelty in western countries i do not see why ANY group of people under the protection of ANY religion can be allowed to break those laws,and i cant understand why any religion that professes a love of god and goodness and the advancement of a soul would wish to inflict pain and terror and suffering upon a helpless creature in the name of this suposedly kind and all seeing diety,it is a contradiction,but then the illogical thought processes and beliefs in something you cant see,touch,feel,or smell or hear but allows the carnage of these so called superior beings to continue down the centuries,mostly caused by these suposedly religious people,thats a total total mystery to me.
