well I survived. The highlight of my annual guys trip this year, was when a friend totally unfamiliar with New Orleans at all, booked a "bed and breakfast" in a rundown shotgun house in central city. for those of you not from New Orleans and not familiar with New Orleans, it is in the top 3 worst neighborhoods in the entire city - and that is before Katrina. thank God we spent very little time there. it was so bad that my friends parked their vehicles at the hospital parking garage, because there was no guarantee that they would be there when we woke up each morning. there was no AC in the place during August, and there were CSI remnants on the windows, from fingerprint dusting during prior break ins.
