well my little shy skye apparantely has a staff infection. he had a complete vetscan blood work and all his bloods are fine and normal. he was tested for parasites and that came back clean. his lungs are clear, ears look good and his throat is looking really good. she cannot figure the cause of the staff (she showed me where on his skin is was in several places) and she said that could be itchy to him but she was frustrated as nothing was pointing to the cause. she sent out bloodwork for thyroid testing just to be on the safe side and he received a covinia antiboitic shot. dr banner was very thorough and she remembered me and my late dog, ernie from when she practiced at Pets R People too. that was in 2005 when we helped ernie cross the bridge in the middle of hurrican ivan. we go to see dr jory on monday for mr. skye. this was 450 bucks but skye is sleeping now, something he was not doing last night. he scratched a bit just now, but not incessant like he has been. so please keep fingers crossed that this shot helps relieve him. now if i can only get finn to stop chewing off his back legs...
