well thats another great two days bowling over the warton vets pairs two very hot days tested the bowlers and the supporters the final was contested by four home players some good bowling from all the players who took part on a fast green the final had ray russell and alan swindlehurst against arnie smith and howard sherry as always the supporters dwindled down to about ten to watch the final its a shame that always happens the final score was russel and swindlehurst 21 smith and sherry 9 thanks must go to all the ladies in the tea room the match scorers and all the helpers it was very hot and sticky work both days and thanks to mr fred vincent who sponsored the event also thanks must go to mr stan ewbank for providing the food and all the ladies who sent cakes we hope to see you all next year and good luck for the rest of the season to all
