well, we are back at Dicks house in NE. We left Ontario around 9:30 am on Wednesday and drove to Manastique, MI and called it a night there. The weather was fine except for one very hard rain shower. We listened to his audio tape of a John Grisham book -- listened to 3 books on the way up and two on the way back. Today was another great day and the scenery was beautiful. We thought, George, the GPS, didnt know where he was going, but he got us here safely. We were arguing with him a whole lot. It is good to be out of the car and able to have our shoes off. Went out to dinner tonight and got a few groceries in his house. Friday night we are going to a banquet where his friend, Dave, will be inducted into the Nebraska Racing Hall of Fame. They race cars on the salt flats in Utah and Dave has set records that havent been broken yet. This ought to be a lot of fun. Then he will take me back to KC on Saturday and then he will leave my house to come back to Lincoln on Sunday. This has been one of the very best vacations I have had in a very long time . I miss Hubert and Gwen already and the wonderful time they showed up. I would love to go see them again maybe next year (If Dick asks me again). The next trip Dick and I will take will be to Hawaii in January -- I can hardly wait for that one. Now time to go downstairs and put my feet up and watch a movie.
