what I perceive to the the ndn problem: we all want to live to - TopicsExpress

what I perceive to the the ndn problem: we all want to live to together and be bad ass, build communities free from colonialism, resist and smash the system, BUT we are all attached spiritually and mentally to our lands and waters as we should be. this means not many want to uproot themselves from the lands of their ancestors to live elsewhere because we identify decolonization (or reindigenizing or whatever word you use to explain your process of detoxing from the white mans society) with our place on the planet, as we should. there are not enough radical people in our own nations to create these sovereign spaces on our homelands and if they are we are all so strong willed and opinionated we butt heads or for personal reasons we do not get along. the displaced indigenous in the cities are very much either wanting to leave but have a difficult time actually leaving because sooooooo much is happening resistance wise in the cities, or they feel trapped and unable to leave or many believe it is colonized to be on reservations and think its a step backwards to go home. thus our current conundrum of the now, the ndn problem! I have way more thoughts about this... lol
