whats so bad about living an average life? How can one classify life into measly narrow terms such as average , when life is something so unbelievably complex. All that can be inferred from this post is how most people are in the prospect of work and career how about his spiritual and family aspect of life? i think those 2 stand far more important than ones societal, economic value in defining the quality of ones life. Whats the point of making hundreds of thousands each year if you dont care or dont seek to understand deeper meanings or purpose of your life, youre no more than puppy pampered by wealthy pet lovers, yeah youll live a comfortable life, thats it, you live not understanding shit about who you are, what it means to be you, youll die that way. ohh you say you can have both? of course you can, but its statistically unlikely to happen, at least from my point of view, ive practiced zen and Buddishm a little bit, i think its really hard to reconciliation Be-rich mindsets with being a spiritual person, youre basically trying to combine forces which are opposite to each other, greed, ego, selfishness, competitiveness vs deep, understanding, compassionate, mindful, etc. only very few people or careers that ive read about can give you the best of both worlds, like being an artist, science researchers or a writer. like Jesus said, its easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than it is for a Rich man to receive salvation, Hes got a point there, Buddha himself denounces all forms of possessions, they lead to endless greed, the fear of losing, that ultimately causes suffering. not enough to convince you yet? read about wealthy moguls like donald trump, the goldman-sachs family, Li-ka shing, Bernard Arnault, Jim Walton and etc, they own corporations, 99% of the worlds problem stemmed from corporations wanting too much for themselves, tell me about the great wisdom or the spiritual side that these people have.
