when/how did the SF zoning laws change? i was reading about an 8 story building is going up on mission between 22/23rd, which made me thing of the developments on market between franklin and castro that are easily 6+ stories high. 25 years ive been in sf and only in the past year have tall (6-8 story) buildings sprouted up around 3 story victorians. more are coming. whattup?? is it a free for all now? i thought the zoning laws were to keep sf with its euro-feel of low buildings (except of downtown.) am i the old guy on the lawn yelling at the kids going by?
