when i was 16 - my aunty maureen took me all over town in kaitaia to put my name down at anywhere to find a job. I got a call back from lee collard and deborah wikitera was the manager at the time at the star bar. worked for dave and lee then headed off after a coupila years. Moved back home when i was 21 and Lee saw my dad in town - says to him whats mitch doing? dad replies - shes has the flu!! lee says to dad - she needs to be working - tell her to ring me lol. I started at mussel rock at the end of 2001 working part time then obtained my bar managers very quickly. I left a couple of times trying to get another career but got hoha and went back to dave and lee as i missed the hospitality industry. I have met some awesome people within my time at the mussel rock, celebrities, business, social, fire and police and of course some awesome staff !! I have learnt so much from dave and lee. The best advice he gave me was - to worry about what we are doing as a business not what everyone else is doing. I always went to dave and lee when ever i was in need of good sound advice. I left mussel rock in march to move to aux and was happy to hear that someone had brought the bar. I wish dave and lee all the best in what the future may bring =) luv use heaps ! now i cant just rock on up into the bar like i always did haha
