when i was a teenager, my mother was hired as a clinical trials studies monitor. she began working with pharmaceutical companies that were on the cutting edge of drug therapy treatments for HIV, cancer, and various degenerative nerve diseases.... then, this past spring, i had the pleasure of working with gilead sciences (a company she worked for) on introducing a new drug treatment for people afflicted with HIV. and i know that its kind of silly, but it feels like this was an opportunity for me to make a small contribution to one of the causes my mother worked tirelessly on. more details can be found at helpstopthevirus
