where do i even begin. i was sitting up lastnight, looking back on the last few day spent down in Hastings. its unbelievable, the amount of things we did in such a short amount of time. got to visit st josephs girls college and meet the very famous Miss Kingi. sang a couple of songs to one of the classes there alongside Mase and TK. just casually jammed at dinner with different musos. workshops and exhibitions. went from jeans and chucks to dress and heels. we laughed, we sang, we shared and sang again lol i can tell you one thing, there was no time for sleep at all :D it was an experience i found so magical and mind blowing. thank you Mase, Tama, Rob, TK, Majic, Seth, Jace, Jordan and everybody else who made my time in Hastings the most enjoyable time ever. it was an honour to share these past couple of days with you all and have a laugh, or sing-song, or have a drink and dance lol it was mean to be a part of such a great kaupapa and even better seeing my idols, mentors, friends up on that stage, doing what they do best. congratulations to everybody who was nominated for an award, and everybody who won an award, or two, or three haha so proud of each and every one of you. i think im gonna have to write a book about my time spent down at the #waiatamaorimusicawards lol it was definitely a highlight of my life. Thank you to all who have taken a part of this special moment with me. whether it be trying to select a dress to wear for the awards, or tune the gat for a performance, or listen to and exchange music and stories with me. i loved every part of it!!! WOW is all i can say. we barely spoke on our way back up to Auckland because we were so buggered haha it tired me out, but it is a kind of tired that i wouldnt mind experiencing over and over again. congratulations once again to everyone who stepped onto that stage, whose names were mentioned and acknowledged and to our friends, who allowed me to live yet another one of my dreams. xxx
