while on my way to work.. I mumbled to my dad of how I feel sick of the world.. feel like escaping it somehow and not sure how that evolves into a topic regarding how Maliki are more for Madinas hadith and skeptical of other hadith outside of Madina.. and how Hanafi are more rationalist and how Syafie are more or less rigid and similar to that of Hambali ; not conducive and relevant anymore in a modern progressive society.. and that evolves to a topic on Quranism and naturally Kassim Ahmad came into the picture.. and we argued that we shouldnt judge someone based on his past, his belief -- but on how he contributed to society and contributed to the progression/critical approach on stuff (theology and its interpretation in this case).. heated argument ended up with him saying ..maybe I shouldnt judge him like that.... And I said thats what Ive been trying to teach you all these while lol
