why 2014?? Why put the cart before the horse??,Why build from the roof down??,these are questions that sport journalists dont seem to be asking the Captain,but i suspect that because they are not assessing what are problems,and what are the possible solutions.Problem:How did Jamaica qualify and why hasnt Jamaica qualified since 1998 for a Fifa World Cup?Answer/Solution:Simones was able to have access to a core group of plyrs for 4yrs where he could build a system,cohesiveness,team spirit and somewhat develop technical/tactical awareness in those plyrs which is SOMETHING LOCAL CLUBS in JAMAICA should have been doing since 1962 but moreso since 1998 if there was a brain in the JFF at that time to structure leagues and clubs properly, initiate a football philosophy/training methodology through a coaching education school that would have coaches training and developing young players right through till they become senior plyrs THE SAME WAY RIGHT ACROSS THE COUNTRY with specific objectives met technically & tactically through ALL LEVELS (8-10)yrs,(11-13)yrs,(13-15)yrs,(15-17)yrs,(17-19)yrs,(19-beyond) so we can begin to change the culture of the sport in order to qualify for future World Cups.Problem:Now that Tappa is gone and the campaign is in effect over what can we do??Answer/Solution:Find someone with INTEGRITY??????? who can sell such a plan to the Stakeholders/Government/Private Sector as a viable,lucrative,profitable investment for Jamaica both socially and economically,get RID of the CAPTAIN and START NOW!!!!!!!!
