Robin Faley Former Member of Parliament for Constituency 007 who doubles as the Deputy National Publicity Secretary II of the ruling All Peoples Congress Party Commemorates his two-year today as a member of the APC Party. Hon. Robin Faley, popularly known as ‘ Political Robino’ is a household name in Sierra Leonean. His decision to abandon the main opposition Sierra Leone Peoples Party for the APC has been considered as the most controversial political decision in recent times. This is because, he served the SLPP for five years; won several awards including best debater in the House of Parliament. He scored the second highest vote for the SLPP in 2012 election and had scored the highest vote for any APC candidate in Njalauhun Chiefdom. He is an all-rounder with strong link in Port Loko, Mile 91, Kamabai, Kabala, Western Area and of course popular with his people in the Southeastern region. Speaking to this medium on his transcript in the political ball game of Sierra Leone for the past two years in the ruling APC, the Public Relations Officer of Sweizzy, Abdul Bah aka ‘Buju’ said Robin Faley has given new face to politics in the country. “It takes courage and residence for a Mende man to make such a difference in the APC, “ Mr. Bah said, adding, because of him, the country has seen huge turnaround from a politics of tribal lines to a development-based politicking. He said Hon. Robin Faley has added more value to the APC team within his two years. He continued the APC as a political institution has a solid ground to have people from Mende land who can promote their interest. This, he also said, is paramount giving the level of political tolerance that the world is preaching. Mohammed Kamara of Belgium in an interview with this medium talked on the advocacy power of the youthful politician. He made reference to the Nixon Memorial Hospital which he said because of Hon. Faley it has gotten the attention of the relevant authority. “I have been following him, he is an articulate speaker,” Mohammed Kamara, aka ‘Big Boy’ said, adding, his political style is worth emulation. “The most important thing I like about him is that he cares for his people,” Kamara noted as a sign off.
