They ask if there are guns in the household, among other questions. As a gun owner I can tell you most gun owners would answer no to that question. The NSSF-adjusted NICS 2013 year-end figure of 14,796,872 was a 7.4 percent increase over the 2012 year-end total of 13,780,285. NICS is the system used for background checks for gun purchases here in the U.S. That is 14,796,872 new guns purchased in 2013 alone! So I really dont think its declining at all. But we all know how the anti-gun crowed likes to spout false numbers. Remember Obama saying 90% of Americans supported universal background checks? Obviously wasnt true because it didnt make it through Congress.
