with the U.S bombing Syria or ISIS or whatever, i have realized that we are now a complete empire based in the economy of WAR. there are 14 year old kids out there who have never known the U.S to be at peace in their lifetime. Think about that. We make war, we profit from it, and we live by it. And we apparently have a president who doesnt need the approval of congress to go bomb other countries and tribes..because why ask congress? What has happened to the balance of power? what has happened to this country mediating and stopping conflicts with diplomacy and fervent rhetoric. I guess when you stick your nose into another regions affairs for 60 years this is what you get from it..constant bloodshed that will never end. I wonder if our grandparents ever thought we would be in an endless war with the middle east..I am so so tired of this. how about we drop books instead of bombs..pamphlets of what democracy is instead of missiles, textbooks on civics instead of tear gas. I guarantee if we dropped as many textbooks, and educational books on these countries as bombs, it would change in 20 years when those children grow up with education of freedom in their minds, and they bring about change themselves instead of us constantly involving our brave service men and women. education changes minds, not bombs. (drop the mic)
