woke up this morning after a dream in which I had somehow found myself persuaded to become part of a gang of car thieves, even though Ive not actually driven a car in over 20 years, and am not sure I still could. Anyway, there wasnt any driving involved for me. I was some kind of facilitator, a provider of contacts and gear. The robbery was of vintage cars from some kind of classic car show, and we were using what looked like huge OB trucks to transport the stolen vehicles. We were masquerading as some kind of film or TV, there to document the show. I had somehow sourced the trucks, but had to ride along on the heist itself because my contact wouldnt let me use the trucks unless I was there to keep an eye on them. Whether this was a dream about my own pathological inability to let go of any project; my distrust of others to get on with the job, my constant need to keep an eye on things for my own peace of mind; or whether it was some kind of metaphor about the crooked nature of the film and TV industries, I cannot say. Perhaps exposure to that free copy of the Sun yesterday has caused me to have the kinds of dreams Danny Dyer has. Anyway, Ian Armer was sharing weird dreams, so I thought Id respond in kind...
