working on a bit of a project. gonna add a pickup to my Washburn acoustic. their is a small story there. i have a Takamine that was a graduation gift from my dad and brother...both of whom are now gone. that makes it an extraordinarily special guitar. I had been playing about a year and I was getting decent or at the very least...serious about guitar. Neither one of them could afford to spend the money but they really wanted to do something special for me..so they took me to a local guitar shop and let me play on everything in the store under the ruse that it was just a fun day with my older brother and dad. After playing on dozens of guitars the Tak was the one that i just fell in love with. That was 18 years ago. Now that they are both gone its become very sentimental to me and ive retired it from gigging to what I refer to as couch/bedroom duty . About a year ago I picked up a Washburn WD100 laminated mahogany body guitar for about 150 bucks. It plays nice and sounds like a guitar. Not spectacular but good enough and once i run it thru a pa with a little reverb, a hint of slapback, and some decent EQ it will be glorious. Ive never drilled on an acoustic before so im a bit nervous. the videos ive seen of the install process seem pretty straight forward tho. wish me luck.
