It was important to win, but the material remuneration didn’t play a big role. There aren’t any holiday without racing, “kyok boru” ( the scramble for a carcass of goat), “oodarysh” and many other national games. “Ulak tartysh” is a one of the favorite equestrian sport of Kyrgyz and Middle Asian nations. It came from ancient times. Ulak Tartysh may regard as “king” of national equestrian games and no any game which can compare to emotionality and strangeness with Ulak Tartysh. Two teams wrestle for a goat’s carcass, which should be taken to the own gates. In its motherland, This attractive game is included to the program of national holiday. it’s not rarely that hundreds of riders “djigits” take part in this game. Village with village, district with district battle for the first place. Winners are given valuable prizes. There are 5 riders and one reserved gamer from every side. The competitions are held on the limited ground ( part of the racecourse with the length of 400-500m),generally near to tribune of racetrack. The game is limited by the time too. It takes no more than 15-20 minutes. That team wins if it can take the carcass of the goat for their own gates more times than the other one. The game requires from riders special experience, big strength, great horse riding skills, fast reaction, and, perhaps, desperate courage. A big role play horses in this game. They usually help their riders; they push apart by the chest crowding opponents. Horses must be shifty and have a greater agility. Oodarysh – is a wrestling on horses and wide spread in Kyrgyzstan. The participants has a weight categories like in simple wrestling: flyweight – till 65 kg, middleweight – till 80kg and heavy weight – up to 80 kg. The winner is that gamer, who will be able to fell opponent off his horse. In such cases The winner is that rider who use original technique and more activity. Kyz Kuumai is a competition between boy and girl on horses. The purpose of the game for boy is ttry to catch and kiss the girl. The girl rider has faster horse and begins riding 5 - 10 seconds earlier. Boy can begin chasing only after this time. If he can catch her, he receives a kiss as a prize. If he can’t, she must beat him by thong “kamcha”. Kyrgyz people play the other many games: “at chabysh”(racing), “jamby atmai” ( archery competition), kyurew “ free wrestling”, tyiyn enmei “ (taking the coin from the ground at the gallop), nards, ordo (capture of Khan’s castle by alchiks(little bones)
