wow. yet another wrinkle here on sugar mountain. ive tried now four or five times to copy/paste the short version of the wiki on SUFISM. it wont let me. it keeps transferring wrong and then when i go to try and manually edit it IT APPEARS CORRECT. thus, i can neither use a simple copypaste (which mangles the entry) OR edit it manually so that it is intelligible. and im not going to re-type the whole wiki manually. so i will do two things: one is to leave the mangled version. the other is to say that the part that most interested me was NOT that it is considered by some to be a mystical aspect of islam but that it is considered to PRE-DATE religion but found a home there among certain souls. okay, THREE things: and try to copypaste the actual wiki link that goes into more historical background about it all. okay, FOUR things: and encourage those (whether or not i am successful at saving you a few clicks) who care to read the entry, if not other things.
