(y) COMPETITION TO WIN TICKETS FOR THE GATES OF HELL (y) Hell near Trondheim is the venue for the third round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship over the weekend of 14 to 15 June. Thanks to Cooper Tires you could be there to witness all the action, by winning one of two pairs of weekend tickets. The entry list for the Norwegian round includes a staggering 38 SuperCars and 22 Super1600 cars as well as 17 TouringCars. Equipped with Cooper’s bespoke Rallycross tyre, the field also features an all-star driver line-up including ex-Formula One Champion and racing hero Jacques Villeneuve. Joining Cooper Tires at the weekend will be brand ambassador, ex-Formula One race winner and BBC F1 commentator David Coulthard, who will be involved in an autograph signing session at the Cooper Tires stand. Adding to the World RX line-up for the first time this year is American Gymkhana legend and X Games medallist Ken Block. Block will be racing his Hoonigan Racing Division Ford Fiesta in the first of three outings in the World Rallycross Championship. In the premier SuperCar class, championship leader Andreas Bakkerud will be racing on home soil, having won the final last time out at the UK’s Lydden Hill. He sits just three points clear of Petter Solberg in the overall standings and five points ahead of Finn Toomas Heikkinen in third. The lucky ticket winners will gain access to the circuit and paddock on Saturday and Sunday to watch their favourite teams and drivers battle it out for the top spot.
