#yallasouriya 8:03 am on July 14, 2013 Permalink | Log in to leave a Comment Local Coordination Committees in Syria By the end of Saturday in Syria, the coordination committees were able to document 44 martyrs, among them 5 women, 3 children, and 2 martyrs under torture: 24 martyrs were reported in Damascus and its suburbs; 6 in Daraa; 5 in Aleppo; 5 in Idlib; 1 in Homs; 1 in Hama; 1 in Deir Ezzor; and 1 in Hasakeh Moreover, the committees have documented 446 points of shelling: Air strikes by warplanes were recorded in 35 points, shelling with explosive barrels was recorded in Mreyaan, Basames, Balshoun, and Balyoun in Idlib, 4 surface-to-surface missiles have landed, 3 of which in Qaboun and 1 in Homs’ old neighborhoods, rocket shelling was recorded in 153 points, followed by artillery shelling in 139 points, and mortar shelling was recorded in 110 points across Syria. The FSA has clashed in 152 points. In Damascus and its suburbs, the FSA has targeted Dahiyet Assad Bridge checkpoint with mortar shells, and killed 4 members of Hezbullah at the Vegetables’ Souk in Sayedeh Zainab, the FSA members have also combed Hezbullah headquarters as well as Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas brigade around Kamal Masharqa barrack at Mutahaleq Ganoubi, it has targeted Dahiyet Harasta Bridge checkpoint and scored direct assaults, it also targeted regime forces in Palestine Street and Nesrin Street in Yarmouk Camp. In Aleppo, the FSA has targeted regime forces’ strongholds and sites in Sabouny Hospital in Old Aleppo and scored direct assaults, the FSA has also repelled raid attempts in Khaldieh neighborhood from the Defense Factories, and targeted regime forces and thugs in Nobl and Zahraa villages as well as the Scientific Researches Center and Dehret Abd Rabo area in Leiramon, it has also caused regime forces significant losses in Menegh Military Airport and killed a number of members and has also repelled raid attempts by regime forces to Masaken Sabeel. In Idlib, the FSA has targeted Hamdieh Camp with locally-made missiles and caused injuries, it also targeted regime forces at Ariha Lattakia road. In Daraa, the FSA was able to enter Manshieh neighborhood in Daraa Al-Balad for the first time after fierce clashes with regime forces, it has also bombed the Bordering Hotel checkpoint in Daraa Al-Balad and targeted Old Jemrek and caused injuries, it was able to destroy one of the buildings in which regime forces were stationed at Samad road in Busra Sham, it also targeted regime forces in the outskirts of Brigade 15 and caused injuries, the FSA was also able to destroy a regime forces car in Shaqra and kill a number of members. In Homs, the FSA continued to repel attempts by regime forces backed by Hezbullah members to storm old Homs’s neighborhoods and caused them losses. In Deir Ezzor, the FSA was able to destroy one of regime forces’ strongholds in Mwathafeen neighborhood, it also targeted regime forces in Deir Ezzor Military Airport and caused injuries. In Hama, the FSA has targeted a military convoy at Salamiyeh Raqqa road and was able to kill a number of regime forces’ members and destroy a number of machineries. In Raqqa, the FSA has targeted Brigade 93 in Nahiyet Ain Eisa as well as Division 17 and scored direct assaults,it has also destroyed several machineries and armored vehicles in different areas across Syria
