#yesallwomen because being shamed for rejecting a boy tells me a boys hurt feelings have more value than my autonomy and safety (see friendzone). #yesallwomen because males have proven to me they feel a default sense of entitlement to my body, seeing my no as a challenge. #yesallwomen because the number of people sympathizing with Elliot Rodger while blaming women for not dating him is another reminder of what its like to live with my worth determined by my ability to cater to mens wants, and the dangers of refusing to do so. No, not all men are Elliot Rodger, but yes, all women live in fear of encountering one, and it is up to men to choose not to be that guy who is an embodiment of the constant, daily threat created by a society where mens comfort and satisfaction is prioritized over the basic rights of women.
