yesterdays doc visit was rather frustrating. docs were not in... and neither was the PA who gave me the appt. ummm...she forgot. an xray clerk checked my hand. i am so not kidding. he is a nice fellow but not a doctor! or a phys assist, or a nurse. he actually unwrapped the ace over my split cast and opined that the cast was not too tight and that my pain was simply due to the broken bone which will take time. he suggested percocet which i refuse. they do nothing for me except make me uncomfortably influenced. he gave me a sling ...which hurt after the initial relief and which takes way too much gymnastic to get into alone; which of course increases overall pain throughout the arm. thankful for the lift to the doc from a sister; the ride home in the cab was spookie for a few reasons. do i go back today at two ,,,, im thinking no. the pain at this moment is bearable ...and i think sir clerks diagnosis was accurate. he knew about compartment issues...which was my biggest concern and told me it definitely was not the issue. i believe he knew what to look for and even tho it was kind of ridiculous ... not being a doctor, i believe he knew how to check it out. i think the exercise im doing and the simple daily arm motion increases pain. i am prayimg for healing of bones, tendons, ligaments, and every other part of my wrist hand and arm. THANK YOU guys for your wonderful support and prayers! i so need wisdom and grace.
