yo YO yo! shout out to ya mamas today. I know i wouldnt be as awesome as i am (haha) if my mom werent as deeply amazing. with her innocence still comes the ability to relax and make others feel at ease. she always has a good time but never loses control. she juggles wife/ mother/ daughter/ musician/ producer/ artist/friend with grace and elegance and chooses to look at the lighter and more beautiful sides of life, ignoring the inevitable darkness that is all around us. she raised us to be educated and cultured and was always my inspiration for womanhood, being graceful and delicate but strong and fun, never appearing frail by shying away or quieting her voice but instead learning how to be heard while not shouting or being crass or vulgar. she was always an artist in everything she did, whether it was her journal or her clothing or even her Easter cakes. Haha. Her adorable and warm voice has been the reason for the homesickness many a time and, though i probably give her way too hard of a time in real life, i am more like her than i probably realize and love her deeply. I feel so lucky to have such a beautiful badass bohemian of a mom and would never have had it any other way. Ann Savoy
