you can read the official statement in alot of places but i just wanted to personally tell every one that yes it is true, death by audio will close its showspace on 11/22/14, it is absolutely sad news that ive only known about for a few weeks, it all came about so suddenly but after i got over the initial panic of losing something so special to me i realized how amazing it is to look back on the these past 7+ years with so much pride and happiness, so many amazing things have happened here that are beyond my wildest dreams, of course its sad that its coming to an end but i am so happy to be able to say when that date is! there are so many shows im already looking forward to in the coming months and many more that we are in the process of booking, i promise well have some fun. come on by, ill give you a hug and probably cry a little too, but it will be a joyous occasion i swear! we arent sure what the future holds but well be trying to do something new in the future, its just came about so quickly we really cant nail anything down, and this town is everchanging, want to make sure that when we do it again we do it the right way on our own terms. as for right now, the final shows are being booked as we speak, we are trying to work on some out of towners but once all that gets slotted i will absolutely be asking my favorite local acts to come back for another show, please be patient as im sure im gonna get a ton of emails, sit tight i will probably ask you, if you must contact me electronically about this please do it at entertainment4every1(at)gmail thanks to everyone who has ever set foot in this place, im just blown away by the fact that we have been able to do this night after night for so long and it never got old to me, im still so excited to hear new music and meet new people, i have met so many people from all points of the globe that i feel like ill know forever and its just fills me up with so much emotion, its just crazy to be able to do something you love for so long on a budget of almost nothing and have people from the otherside of the globe travel all the way here and play in this little room, its also truly amazing that we never had to compromise any of our beliefs in that time, we always tried to keep everything on the cheap, tried not to treat bigger bands with special treatment, no backstage, NEVER SIGNED A CONTRACT, NEVER GAVE A GUARANTEE. were able to work with bands well after they signed with major label and booking agents just because people responded to how much they like what we did here, and ill say it again, i could not be more proud of it all. send us some real mail! tell us what this all meant to you! send photos, stories, records, XL shirts and anything else awesome!
