youtu.be/4KbzSVaKAdg Not my best English, so please forgive me of all errors. But this is not a formal essay, this isnt a formal anything. I just wanted to make this post. Dont judge too harshly because I just want to talk in this one (and share the fun song!). Nothing serious. If youre a Grammar Nazi, corrections are always welcome. I have heard thousands of singers before but the most exhilarating, stunning, and truly MOST SUPERIOR singer I have ever heard in my life would have to be the Israeli artist Ofra Haza (I say artist because she wasnt just a singer, but also an actress and writer). She was the only singer that when I heard for the very first time (in DreamWorks The Prince of Egypt. She sang as Yocheved, Moses mother, in the intro Deliver Us and she also provided amazing vocals for the films score/soundtrack), I got chills and thought to myself, Who is this singer? Her voice is incredible. Extremely beautiful. WOW. I am not an aspiring singer and in no way am I a fanatic or super-duper obsessed with any famous person, but I am an aspiring artist in other fields of Art/work, and the Israeli Ofra Haza was undoubtedly the finest of her class, she was the very best, and her life-story and work are just very inspiring to me. She came from poverty, she did not come from a privileged family, but (on her bio) even though they were poor financially, her family was rich musically. Ofra Haza reminds me of the Biblical Queen Esther. Out of the thousands of the loveliest women in the land and from other countries (in the Bible story, the girls were all hoping to be the chosen one, the kings new queen), Esther was personally chosen to be the queen and she was loved and highly favored by the king because she was just THE MOST BEAUTIFUL of all the gorgeous women. I have many favorite female artists: Ms. Lea Salonga, Ms. Carol Banawa, Ms. Sharon Cuneta, Karen Carpenter, and more. Dont get me wrong, I love these people, they are all amazing, mind-blowing singers in their own right, but Ofra Haza is like my Queen Esther. I consider her to be the very best of the best, the most impressive. I love that Ofras voice (when I listen to her tracks on Spotify or on YouTube) can switch from very high notes to low notes with complete ease, and she does her singing (in her recordings) very beautifully and effortlessly. She doesnt screech, in Pinoy lingo, make birit, in her songs. I listen very closely to her voice on Spotify and Im just so impressed that she could do astounding vocal gymnastics with her voice. She could make her voice fly and she could vocalize like an angel. I admire Ofra Haza also because she loved children and she had faith in God. She wasnt afraid to mention and thank God in her interviews. She was 100% pure talent, but was never a stuck-up diva, an arrogant, self-absorbed prima donna. Many people knew her for her kindness, humility and um ..... normal-ness (Okay, bad English! HaHa! So sorry). I am not obsessed. So please do not confuse my appraisal with obsession. Small-minded and bigoted people always do that. They believe that if you have a strong admiration for someone then you must be a fanatic, you must worship the person. Unbelievable. They are the people who are incapable of intelligent conversations because they are so stubborn and have such a bleak outlook on life. Ofra Haza was an Israelite who had a God-given gift, and her supreme talent is just very inspiring to me. Thats it, nothing more. I just see her as an inspiration, especially since I am around so many people who settle for mediocrity. Shes not a goddess, and I never see her that way. I do not worship her. She was just an incredibly talented person, a good model for aspiring artists like me. In this YouTube video shes just singing a happy childrens song. I originally wanted to post her track, A Love Song (from the Biblical Song of Songs), but that song is serious, while my post is laughable and just silly (but its on YouTube if you want to check it out. Please do). Im sorry for my being such a chatterbox! I think I probably have a nice future in Writing because Im so talkative in my posts. Theres so much self-improvement I need to do. But then, again, for the trillionth time, please remember that while I talk almost nonstop in writing (okay, Im exaggerating a little), I am very quiet in person. Im not a noisy person at all, and I hate noise! Quiet people have the loudest minds. (Stephen Hawking)
