Her heart is broken, she misses you so But she felt your pain and let you go We watched you suffer dad for far too long. Your pain was constant and very wrong. Your tired sick body they couldn’t mend But you were strong right to the end. God was watching your pain from up above And decided your body had had enough He held out his hand when it was time to go But you took your time because you love us so You were waiting on mum to give you a sign “It’s ok, sleep peacefully, don’t worry I’m fine” You could feel our pain you could hear our cries But you knew it was time and you closed your eyes Don’t worry dad we now know you’re safe We can picture again the smile on your face We know you’ll be with us everywhere we go The best dad in heaven and we all love you so.
