youtu.be/MROSKooOZsg Hello everybody, here’s today’s gameplay video! This time I’m playing a game called Bahamut Lagoon by Squaresoft/Square Enix on the SNES9x emulator. This game has never been released outside of Japan on any platforms but it was unofficially translated by a group known as DeJap Translations to make the game completely english. When the game was originally developed it was promoted as going to be released in the United States but the release was ultimately cancelled. The game was later re-released twice, once on the Wii and a second time on the Wii U but only in Japan, unfortunately. The game also had many key developers from the Final Fantasy series as well including the Final Fantasy creator, Hironobu Sakaguchi, as a supervisor, Kazushige Nojima as director, and Motomu Toriyama as a story planner. The game also combined two different gameplay styles. The overworld that plays like a tactical RPG during battle and a Final Fantasy style turn based RPG built into the tactical battles. The game is quite fun but I’ve never gotten very far into it yet but I’d definitely recommend giving the fan translation a shot.
