youtu.be/WrtJMwKqrpI - The next Apple Record Ive got in my collection is The Beatles/1962-1966. Ill just post up from this the tunes that I skipped over earlier. The album was released on April 2, 1973, together with its counterpart, The Beatles/1967-1970. This compilation was produced by Apple/EMI at least partially in response to a bootleg collection titled Alpha Omega, which had been sold on television the previous year. Print advertising for the two records made a point of declaring them the only authorized collection of the Beatles. ~ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1962%E2%80%931966 In 1972 a small company in New Jersey brazenly flaunted copyright statutes and sold a four-volume set of well-known Beatles songs - even advertising the collection on television and radio. The collection was being sold by a company called Audiotape Inc. and was titled The Beatles Alpha Omega -- and it was quite the curiosity. Containing 4 LPs (and also available on 8-track), it collected 60 Beatles songs including several current (at the time) Beatles solo tracks. The tracks were arranged more or less in alphabetical order and edited haphazardly ~ See more at: aboutthebeatles/beatles-alpha-omega#sthash.pKWNU5EF.dpuf
