Both this film and Street Fighter: Assassins Fist are arguably the best video game adaptations ever made, and yet, Mortal Kombat has no special edition DVD/Blu-ray, which is mind-boggling when you take in mind that films like Street Fighter starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, and even Super Mario Bros. can get one (although the latter was a DVD/Blu-ray from the UK), this movie was the first video game movie to be both financially successful, and well received by fans of the source material, and a special edition DVD/Blu-ray has been long overdue. With Mortal Kombat X coming out next year as well, it seems like the appropriate time for this movie to get the special edition treatment it deserves, share this status if you are willing to spread the word to the public, and maybe Warner Bros.
