youtube/watch?v=dkEvLjj_rqc That moment when youre fed up with the city, the job, the house on the cul-d-sac and all the people taking up this space. I want to be by the Rock on Daken road. I want to be on Lake Nokomis in Tomahawk, a Fish Fry in Rhinelander and smell the pine trees in Eagle River, WI. Man I miss the way the sky looked out in the Badlands. Sneaking on a farm and laying next to the Souris river outside of my hometown. I wish I was on Highway 200 near Finley or eating a sub from some obscure gas station sub shop on the way. I miss coming home on 85 and looking across those grasslands. Even if they are filled with oil wells because at least Id know I was close to home. I miss the way the Arizona desert smelled and how a backroad between New Mexico & Colorado remind me of a time I thought I once knew. Even a stroll on a back road to Topeka would be better than here. I just wish I was back home. These places are a piece of me and they remind me of where Ive been and where I wish I could be back again. Ive met my urban limit. I just want to go back home.
