youtube/watch?v=x_ZdDTsFC2g There was a documentary on the TV here last night about Maddie McCann which included information not allowed to be broadcast in the UK (but most of it is on youtube). Basically the Portuguese police found no evidence at all for an abduction: no fingerprints and nothing forensic. The window allegedly discovered open and used by the abductor was found by forensics to have been last opened by Mrs McCann. Workers in the restaurant where the McCanns were eating contradict their version of events. The McCanns did not go back to their apartment every fifteen minutes; the previous night Madeline had been left crying for over an hour. A sniffer dog brought in, trained to find the scent of corpses, found nothing around the resort but discovered scents in the McCann apartment and in their car. When the Portuguese police brought in the McCanns as suspects they refused to answer any questions - the next day they flew back to the UK and have since been using the best lawyers the Madeleine fund can buy to libel anyone who suggests they are connected to Madelines disappearance. On the night of Madelaines disappearance two different men were seen carrying a child. The first seen close to the McCann apartment has now been ruled out; thanks to the new investigation by the Met. This leaves the second man. The new Met Grange investigation has issued two new photo-fits. This second man was positively identified as Mr McCann by an English couple in Portugal back in 2007. Lets hope the new investigation clears this up. For Madeline.
