.. ♥(̆̃̃• Maria is an AVERAGE-rated, tiny pocket pooch who doesnt deserve to die tomorrow. Can you foster or adopt her? A volunteer writes: Maria! I just met a girl named Maria! Say it loud and theres music playing, say it soft and its almost like praying...Maria. I cant stop singing the classic West Side Story ballad as I spend time with itty bitty pittie Maria, shes an exquisite little doll and so full of life and love, curiosity pulling her this way and that as I try to capture her delicate beauty in a photo. This wee flower actually hails from the East side of the Bronx but shes got all the moxie and charm of her movie counterpart, when life knocks her down she just gets right back up and gives it a hug! Though shes full of beans Maria walks very nicely on leash, greeting other dogs calmly and using the facilities quickly before setting off to explore. Back in the yard she shows no interest in either the tennis ball or a roast beef treat but when I pat my lap she races over to get her front half up and snuggling and gives great stand-up cuddles too, jumping up softly when I pat my belly in encouragement. A charming beauty with a heart of gold - who wouldnt want to make this sweet girl their own?
