Cancellation destination Chios 00 31 70 3266552 00 31 70 3266747 [email protected] 18 July 2013 Dear CHIOS Hoteliers, Summer season 2013 is running and as usual the preparation for Summer 2014 has started. We evaluate the results and look at the future prospective for our cooperation and the destinations in general. Based on these results we have made a difficult decision. We would like to inform you that after many years of offering the destination we will not feature Chios for Summer 2014. We would like to take this opportunity to explain what made us come to this decision. The Dutch market is nearly the only market operating on the destination so the chances on exclusivities are little. There is a high and strong price driven competition which makes the destination less profitable for tour operators and there are no developments on Chios which could make an improvement to this situation. Besides this group synergies with other TUI markets are not possible partly due to the limitations of the airport making it unable for our colleagues to enter the destination. We choose to inform you at this time since this will give you the opportunity to find a suitable cooperation with another tour operator for Summer 2014. Until that time we wish to continue with our good cooperation in order end this season on good terms and mutual understanding. We would like to thank you for your support, for in some cases the many years of collaboration and hope that in the near future when opportunities arise we will be able to return to Chios. Until then we wish you all the best both personally and business wise.
