An open letter for the people in Gaza This letter published in the Lancet is an indictment of Israel as a vicious murderer of innocent civilians, women and children. Their fate is really horrible and Israel as a state, nation and culture as well as most individuals comprising i...t are appalled at the humanitarian situation in Gaza. This is exactly the reason why Israel, unlike most of the ruthless regimens in the middle east and elsewhere, is making every effort to prevent unnecessary casualties even at the expense of having our fellow countrymen, our own children & soldiers lives endangered and lost. While the Palestinian society glorifies death, teaches its children from kindergarten on and encourages them to become martyrs while slaughtering innocent Israeli civilians, Israel glorifies peace, life and freedom. The fact that in the face of a relentless enemy that is looking for only one result - the destruction of Israel, and will not agree for anything but that, Israel has but one option - to fight for its own existence - has eluded the eyes of the biased writers of this letter.
