לעברית גלגלו למטה :) Hi Raichel here, I have something I want to share with you. Ive been thinking about this for awhile now. When I was in third grade our school teacher taught us one Hebrew song a week and made us fall in love with poetry. These are songs I remember till this day and they are the foundations of my work . I wander what would have happened if in addition to Hebrew poetry we were studying other countries cultures as well - a Syrian poet, an Iranian screenplay writer, a Palestinian singer, and, in the same breath, I wonder what would have happened if our neighbors would have learned about our culture? In the past few months Ive been playing with a musician from Ramallah, Ali Amr. Weve been meeting in the US mostly, even though only 40 minutes drive separate our cities . In spite the hardships , together we are trying to build a musical bridge , upon which we can all attempt to walk. This bridge and this vision were embraced by a number of internationally acclaimed artists , one of them is the greatest Alicia Keys. Last Saturday we all preformed on an enormous stage in central park in New York with her new song We are here in a concert that was broadcasted on NBC. exiting . Raichel. הי זה רייכל רציתי לספר לכם איזה עניין. כבר הרבה זמן אני חושב לעצמי שכשהייתי בכיתה ג׳ המחנכת לימדה אותנו שיר עברי אחד בשבוע וגרמה לנו להתאהב בשירה. אלו שירים שאני זוכר עד היום ומהווים את הבסיס ליצירה שלי. אני תוהה מה היה קורה לו היינו לומדים בנוסף לשירה עברית גם על תרבות ממדינות שכנות- משורר סורי, תסריטאי איראני, זמר פלסטיני, ובאותה נשימה מעניין מה היה קורה לו השכנים שלנו היו לומדים גם על התרבות שלנו? במהלך החודשים האחרונים אני מנגן עם מוסיקאי מרמאללה, עלי עמר. אנחנו נפגשים בעיקר בארה״ב למרות שבין הערים שלנו יש רק ארבעים דקות נסיעה ברכב. למרות הקושי, יחד אנחנו מנסים לבנות גשר מוסיקלי ושעל הגשר הזה ננסה לצעוד כולנו. את הגשר והחזון הזה חיבקו ואימצו מספר אמנים בינלאומיים, בניהם אלישיה קיז איתה הופענו במוצ״ש בבמת ענק בסנטרל פארק בניו יורק, עם השיר החדש שלה we are here. המופע הועבר בערוץ NBC. מרגש. רייכל
