التسويق الشبكي، نموذج تجاري متسارع التطور… سماه البعض “تجارة القرن الواحد والعشرين” وأساء فهمه البعض الآخر. يعرف بالكثير من المسيات، كالبيع المباشر أو التسويق متعدد الطبقات أو التسويق الشبكي. Known today under many names such as Direct Selling & Network Marketing, and Multi-level marketing. في أوائل الألفية الجديدة تسلل التسويق الشبكي إلى الوطن العربي، وبسبب عدم وجود هيئات متخصصة لتقنينه والتفريق بين ماهو قانوني من غيره، ما لبث أن إنهار سوقه! وتتابعت محاولات لشركات كثيرة في الدخول إلى المنطقة العربية لتجد مصيراً مشابهاً لمن سبقوهم… وتوالت الهجمات القانونية والشرعية على هذه التجارة من قبل الكثير حتى تم منعه وحرمت بعض الدول العربية مزاولته، ما أدى إلى إسائة فهم التسويق الشبكي ليوضع في نفس الكفة مع الألعاب المالية والحيل الهرمية المحرمة عالمياً… The first time it entered the Middle Eastern region was the early 2000′s.
