تعلن شركة المواهب الاردنيه للتوظيف عن توفر فرصة العمل التاليه في شركه امريكيه في العراق Job opportunity at American company in Iraq Position : Civil Engineer Overview The Civil Engineer will work in a Project Management environment where the main goal is to represent clients in managing projects from planning stage to construction completion. The Civil Engineer position will be responsible for all Utilities Infrastructure, Roads and Landscape works as well as having knowledge of all other engineering disciplines. Essential Functions The essential functions of the Civil Engineer are as follows: 1. Uphold the client’s interests as their representative on the project. 2. Perform technical review of various project design and construction documents including construction drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, cost estimates, contracts, variations in design, contractor’s shop drawings, material, qualification, method statement and other submittals. 3. Ensure design follows latest international and local codes and standards. 4. Ensure coordination of the project documents with other disciplines including structural, mechanical and electrical. 5. Conduct system analysis and comparisons (value engineering) with regard to economical and functional considerations. 6. Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions. 7. Contact utility authorities for confirmation of availability, coordination of service entry points, and confirming facilities required for obtaining service from the utility. 8. Ensure construction follows design documents and specifications and report non-conformances. 9. Participate in evaluating designers and contractors claims for variation orders. 10. Participate in responding to contractor’s RFIs. 11. Attend regular and as-needed construction meetings. 12. Witness factory and site acceptance tests for pertinent systems. 13. Participate in startup and commissioning of pertinent systems. 14. Understands and is aware of all facets related to construction safety. 15. Process consultant’s and contractor’s payment requisitions, as assigned. 16. Alert the Engineering (Technical) Manager with actions that may impact the project quality, budget or schedule. 17. On the job training and mentoring of Client personnel is required. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university. PMI / PMP or any other equivalent project management certification considered an advantage. LEED Certification – considered an advantage. The ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Superior interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Must have the ability to operate a computer and use Standard company’s CAD, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database software. 7 – 10 years of progressive experience in design and construction of relevant engineering projects including 3 years minimum in construction field supervision. Housing, Transport, Security: While stationed in Iraq staff are provided secure housing accommodation, food, internet, laundry, television and transportation.
